Yes. There is no sub floor in a concrete slab house for the inspector to assess. Unfortunately termites only need very small gaps in the concrete to gain access to a timber structure (e.g. gaps around pipes, electrical cables, through covered weep holes etc).

These typically include things like doors, cabinets and window frames which are all prone to termite infestations. The building inspection is very important in detecting if there are any structural problems with the house.
On average, a combined Building and Pest inspection will take between 60 and 90 minutes. These times differs depending on the size of the house and any difficulties during the inspection. An older house generally takes a bit longer to inspect.
